striking fall collection, that we'd soon preview her spring line.
We're as good as our word.

Mastroianni says she was inspired by a dragonfly that visited her 15th-floor studio during a Manhattan downpour. "I've never seen a dragonfly in New York City," she told an interviewer during New York's Fashion Week. ... I had them photograph it for me. When something comes into my environment, I welcome it."

She was taken with its blues, greens, and transparency. "I think this little guy was holding a message for me," she says.

We think so too. The line is joyful, sensual, and a little larger than life, without pretension. Mastroianni complements sculptured forms with eye-catching accents in fabrics from alert organzas to flowing silks.
