Joanna Mastroianni's Fall 2007 line raised some eyebrows with its religious and Byzantine overtones -- the crosses, shields, and scapulars. But we love the strong, sexy lines, the bold color blocks, and the eye-topography of the romantic fabrics and teasing textures. Beyond the runway drama, there's a lovely appetite for life in the wine-colored silk cloaks, a taste of adventure and play in the sexy Excalibur-tinged dresses, and still a nod to the elegantly practical in the day wear.
